Another Little Finish

It's all done, and one more finish for the crazy January challenge.  Slowly I get these done, and in a month and a half I start all over again!  This will be added to the front of the little mesh bag it came in.

More Tropics

This red flower was hanging overhead, which prompted me to take some overhead photos of the foliage too.   Lots of different species in the area, including ginger and orchids.

Warmth for The Winter

We found these wonderful rabbit fur-lined mittens in Krakow.  They'll keep my hands warn during the cold Moldovan winter.  They were not badly priced, either, and fit well.  Win all around.  Bring on winter!

Dim Sum In Frankfurt

Considering that this Chinese restaurant is located in the courtyard behind the Westin in downtown Frankfurt, you'd epect it to be packed with upscale business people.  It's not.  It's packed with Asian people looking for a taste of home.  This means that you're not going to get your usual Western/American selection of watered down Chinese food, but authentic stuff!  Authentic it was, even though Andreas was disappointed they didn't put any milk in his Thai tea.  All the food was spicy; the noodles were very glutenous and sticky, and there were things on the menu we never would have thought to eat.  It was a wonderful experience, fairly inexpensive for western Europe, and the staff was very friendly and helpful with our ignorance.  If you get the chance to go, do so!
This dish was basically hot sauce over some vegetable-stuffed very jelly-like noodles.
I think the roast duck was the best dish we had.  It was wonderfully moist and crispy at the same time.  It was served with pork also.
This mushroom and chicken dish comes steaming hot to the table, and the waitress warned us not to open the lid for at least three minutes.  She came back to do that for us.  It wasn't nearly as spicy as some other things, but each item had its own distinct flavor.
We -thought- we didn't order any shrimp, but it came anyway in the chicken and noodle dish.  These noodles tasted much better than the noodle slabs used as wrappings above, and, avoiding the shrimp, the rest tasted a lot like what you'd get in a western Chinese restaurant.

Starting Some Flowers

The flowers look rather bare now, but they're close to being done.  They look a bit fuller up close.

Frankfurt Palmgarten To The Greenhouses

These outside photos show how beautiful the late September day we went to the Palmgarten was.  we entered the greenhouse building, which has several different biomes in it, from tropical to desert.  These photos were from the tropical part.  Very pretty area.

Hearted

I finished Every Heart earlier this year and finally made it into a real pillow ornament.
