Soroca Lumiere

This monument is a Soviet era one that has been repurposed into a religious chapel.  You can see the tower from both sides of the Dniester river and most of the city of Soroca.  You can get to it in one of two ways: the usual one of climbing a few hundred uneven and ill repaired concrete stairs or the less used driving up the back of the hill.  Guess which we took.  We managed to go on a beautiful day and to see the countryside, including livestock, on both sides of the river.

About To Bead

The cross stitches are all completed and it's time to begin beading.  True progress!

Fire Planeted

Andreas got another science fiction poster framed; this one is from the Firefly universe.

Mock Ups And Models

The black tube is part of a submarine mock up.  The rest are models.  The Nimitz museum covers the whole of the war in the Pacific and does it through interactive stuff.

Zigging And Zagging

Some progress, but not much, as I fill in all the zigzags.

Almost All Around

Mainly this was filling in background again, but I did manage to get the dark blue border almost all the way around.

Laura Perrin Diamond Framed

I love how MolDeco did the framing on this.  It doesn't show up well in the photo, but there are two colors of suede mats surrounding the piece - blue and green.  I think it turned out neat, and the bright orange color wasn't much of a challenge for them.
