Monastery Grounds

The grounds of Rudi are well tended and have a lot of vegetable plots.  The monastery tries to be mostly self sufficient.  They're also pretty.

 

 

Pirate Ship

Andreas had this pirate scroll that he didn't have a way to display.  MolDeco came to the rescue.

Second Flower Emerges

Time for a second flower to come out of hiding. A lot of bits are a lot more stitching than intended because of the count of the fabric.

Moldova May Flowers

These flowers were all on the grounds of Rudi Monastery.  A lot of them are both beautiful and practical.

Picked Up In Odessa

Here's the pastel drawing of the Odessa opera house we got from the crazy artist on the Pushkin walkway.  It looks so good floating in this frame.

Back In The Middle

The lines in the middle are getting a little attention now.  One of them is even to the bottom half of the circle.

Rudi Monastery

This little monastery is a religious community just northwest of Soroca.  We visited it when we went there.  The first weird thing was that, because I was wearing jeans, then made me put a skirt on over them.  Just .... odd.  The priests here are married, and their families live with them at the monastery.  It's right near the Nistru, and you have to go through the woods to get to it.  These are some of the buildings there.  You can see that there are actual homes.
