Support the (Ukrainian) Troops

I bought these beautiful things at one of the support the Ukrainian troops booths in Odessa.  People are doing all they can to get more money to their soldiers for equipment.

Working On The Brown

Who ever knew there was so much brown on peacocks?

Tucano Breakfast

I had a morning breakfast after dropping Andreas off to work and before a nail appointment.  The cappucino was very good.  The orange juice was packaged and what passes as orange juice in Moldova.  The pastry had potential, but the berries on it were so sour they made my mouth pucker.  A bit of sugar please, people!

New Temari Book

I have not had a new temari book in quite a while, and Andreas found this one on ebay for me.  He ordered it, I have it, and I will be making some temari from it soon.

More Mouton Mounds

It still looks nothing like a sheep, but it's getting bigger.

Lunch At EtCetera

We went out to EtCetera Winery with the Larsons the week before they left post.  They had been out there several times; it was our first.  EtCetera treated us very nicely, with some wine on the porch before lunch and a tour.  Lunch consisted of placinte, cheese and veg, zeama, and rabbit.  Every bit of it was excellent.  EtCetera is known for its rabbit dishes.  We had a wonderful time with the Larsons, too!

Thank You Sasha, Dima, and Sergiu

We were overwhelmed when Andreas' guys presented us with this beautiful handwoven rug.  It's one Moldovan thing we had not been able to get, but on top of that, it's gorgeous.  The rug's two sides have different color schemes and it's all wool.  I love it, and so does Andreas.  We will miss you guys but will remember you every time we see this - and other times too!
