Beflowered

Well, one flower's done.  This is the largest, so the others should be easier.

But For A Leaf

Everything but one leaf is done.  Yay!  It'll be finished soon.

Dinner With All The Parents At Reata

It was a dinner for five at Reata the first night Andreas' parents were in town.  Andreas had to try the dill pickle martini, and I had my usual margarita.  The dinner was good, but it was usual southern/Texas food with a few twists.  Everyone's food tasted good and was huge.  I had chicken fried steak and bourbon bacon corn.  The parents had a bunch of fish-type entrees.  Shared desserts. too.  Overall, a decent but overpriced meal.

Still Heading Away

The snout looks almost done as I get started on the rest of the skull.

How Many Breakfasts?

Yep, Ol' South again.  Andreas tried their hash browns and an omelette.  I had my usual.  It was all good.

Spratly Filling

For my last session with this, there were a bunch of sprat head stitches to add - a total of twelve.  They included both pearl cotton and metallics.  I think they came out pretty well.  Now off to the next part.

Went To Winslow's

Five of us went to eat at Winslow's on a Wednesday night.  Mom took us there because she had to pick up her monthly wine subscription.  We had a good time out on the terrace, and Mom got to talk to some retired Peace Corps volunteers.  Since it was Theresa and Alexandra, she was impressed.  The food was very good.  Andreas loved the cheese and meat plate, and some of us had pizza.  I had salad and chicken satay; both were excellent, and the satay had no pesto.  That's an upgrade from Moldova!
