Chipping Away

Now that she's in Africa, Mattie has become a star on the street.  People stop and want to take her photo - every single day.  She's acting pretty normal at home, though, with her usual method of finishing off chip bags.

The dragon officially has an eye now.  I've also started getting a little done on the first curve downward.  It feels like progress.

Angolan Independence Night Fireworks

Angola celebrated its independence day on November 11, the same as our Veteran's Day.  That means we get one less holiday off because of the overlap.  On the other hand, it was the fortieth anniversary of independence, so they put on a very nice fireworks show we could watch from the apartment.
