Huge Soup

A couple of nights before I left, Kerry and I went out to Cafe Asia right by my house.  I had soup.  It was great, but I could only finish half the bowl.

Big To Small

Great big elands to teeny tiny dik-diks, we found them all.  The dik-diks are precious, though their heads remind me of pictures of aliens.

One Big Square-ish

This fifth rectangle is not quite a square.  It has a lot of fun stitches in it, but I wish the spacing was better, especially on the innermost crescent.  My husband loves the colors, though, so that's a great thing.  I got back to working on this after a two week traveling break.  On to do more.

Scissorkeep Beaded

I finished all the beading on this during my first week back in Angola.  It's time to put this thing together.  I am still somewhat disappointed in both the materials and the instruction.  Materials are not at all close to the photo on front, and did not include a piece of muslin called for in the instructions.  The instructions were not good about order or about stitch instructions.

Somewhat Cheesy

I went to dinner with Kerry and her parents at the Cheesecake Factory in Clarendon.  The food and company were very good!  I had a margarita and a long island tea to drink.  We shared a zucchini appetizer, and I had the tacos.  There was so much food I only ate two of them.  Wish the shells were flour instead of white corn, but that was my only complaint.

The Bird Is The Word

These are some of the birds we saw around Etosha.

Blue Spirals

I am not at all sure about the blue spirals.  For once, I followed the instructions.  They called for doubled wool for the french knots.  They're so bulky!  I'll leave them in for now, but may decide to redo them later.
