New Mexico Landscapes

We drove from Santa Fe to Taos and back one day last month, and I took photos of some of the landscape.  It was surprisingly green for August.  This was very close to the Rio Grande river though.

On The Middle Top

I am currently stitching these little garden stakes on the mandala.

Not Cutting The Rug

Mattie, our dog, is resting comfortably on one of the rugs we purchased while in India.  They got here in perfect shape!

Elephant Ears

It seems all I am doing on this project lately is stitching ears.  At some point, the ears have to end, right?

Same Place, Lunch

Since we had walked most of the Indian market, we decided to do lunch at the same place we'd had dinner - La Plazuela.  I had deconstructed nachos (otherwise known as make your own) and an iced tea.  It felt good to sit down.  There was far too much food, though.

A Bit Of Food, A Bit Of Atmosphere

We went to the restaurant in La Plazuela, a hotel in downtown Santa Fe, and were greeted by this pretty lit tree.  I have a margarita and some prime rib - things hard to get, especially done right, in Angola.  Mom had salmon.  We sat right next to the fountain and listened to the water's music.  It was a beautiful dinner.

Now Some Orange

I was kind of surprised when I started using these bright oranges.  They're parts of leaves, but weren't used anywhere farther up.  Guess I'm getting close to done.
