Starnet finally came out and set up our internet today. What should have been a ten minute visit ended up being three and a half hours due to incompetence, but at least we have internet now!
I'm finally done with the skirt! It's a major milestone for me, and now all I'm left with are the banner and flourishes.
The stitching goes on, and I'm able to see the result of my decision not to use only basketweave stitch. The texture of the green is adding some nice dimensionality, I think.
Some of the blue, some of the green, and a bit of dark gray, but still no castle.
I'm not sure why all this set is so dark, since I'm not the photographer. I do know we're still setting up here, and that might be part of it. Passiflora trellis is making lots of progress and now has two fruit starting to take shape.
The second corner's in place for part five now. It means the top is reached and other bits are getting filled in.
We went to an artisanal rug making workshop the first weekend we were here. The owner of the workshop gave us gifts. The big apple-like fruit is a quince, with a stem of dried bolted basil next to it. Also, the cloth was both made and embroidered at the workshop.
