I'm definitely halfway done with this; it's coming along quickly!

Another Ornamental Start
I had some linen floss on my desk asking me to make something with it for a few weeks. I picked this ornament out of the 2011 JCS Ornament issue and started. It'll make someone a nice little gift.

From Empty to Full
Our commissary order came in this week. Because we are a consumables post, we can order food from the Air force base in Germany's commissary as a group, and they bring it to us on a refrigerated truck. American things like Ben & Jerry's ice cream, turkeys, and hamburger buns are available only in this way. The problem? You have to order by the case. So we ended up with a full sized freezer going from completely empty to absolutely full in an hour. Of course, this stuff is supposed to last us a long time....

El Paso and Austin
Looks like the upper half of Texas is done. Now to get to the rest, and to get some background done. My husband's suggested the slogan "Life is too short to live in Dallas" around the outside.

The Actual Indy Race
Photos from the Indycar race on September 4th, 2011 - the Baltimore Grand Prix. You can tell the high shutter speed Andreas used when you see the (deliberately) blurry ones as comparison. Last of the Grand Prix pics, and can't go next year cause I'll b in Europe.
