Feels Like Plodding

Back to feeling like I'm making no progress.  I -know- I am, but I'm approaching the middle doldrums with this again.  Maybe when it looks like I'm finishing this corner, I'll feel better about it again.  It's also probably because I've been stitching less overall lately, and projects like this are nagging me to get them done.

Starting On Part Four

I just started the last part of the tree and hopefully will get it done soon!

Bluing The Bells

I got both more bluing done and some leafies too!

Proof Of Large

This certificate is from the Guinness Book certifying that the wine cellar is the largest in the world, as of 2007.  It has over a million and a half bottles in it.  The rest of the pictures in this set are of some of the bottles.  The little "houses" are labeled with the year of harvest, the year of bottling, the type, and the number of bottles in that particular set.  All the bottles were laid down after 1968, when the Soviet Union collectivized wine making in Moldova and concentrated it at Milestii Mici.  Milestii Mici is still state owned, but there are many other wineries in Moldova now.

TAST Week #9 - Couching

I couched some pretty thick gold torsade onto the sampler.  The purple was used to contrast with it and tone down the bling a bit.

Two Wreaths

I'm still plugging away at this.  I've been doing at least two lengths of thread daily on it for over a month now, and am barely halfway through this part of  the stitchalong.  This piece is BIG.

Tour of Milestii Mici

How do you tour the world's largest wine cellar?  In a minivan, of course!  We went on this tour on Saturday, at Milestii Mici (pronounced Mileshtee Meech).  The tour didn't take us through the whole thing, but it was a lot of underground to cover.  Here, some wine barrels (about seven feet high) and an underground waterfall that they've spiffied up into something nice looking.
