Wedding Car

We didn't go into the church at Tipova because there was a wedding going on while we were there.  The Moldovans have a habit of decorating the car that will take the couple from the church to the reception (usually a multi-day party at one of the families' houses).  This is how they did it that day.

A Block For Beryl

I was the last person to work on Beryl's wine block.  Even though the space was awkward, I managed to put on a wine quote.  All of the wine blocks I did ended up with words on them.  I also added bits off lace and beading.  It's off to her now, and I hope she likes it when she gets it.  The end result is shown below.

Hungry Horse

This top picture is of part of a village in Transnistria, over the river from where we were in Tipova.  The rest .... a horse was licking our car while we were wandering around.  She licked the whole front area, some of the window, and was being a real pest when we were wanting to leave.  Me being me, I went up to her and pet her.  She immediately begged for food, so we found some dried exotic fruits in the car.  We fed her the dried pineapple, but not the papaya.  I wanted to take the horse home.  Andreas thought it was a bad idea.

Not Quite

I am not quite willing to call this halfway done yet.  On the other hand, it's getting pretty close.

More Blue

I bought some more fiber from Orna Willis.  I just can't resist fiber, especially so nicely packaged...

Room At Hanganu

The room is SMALL!  It's got no real chairs - only the tiny stools.  The sole table is shorter than a coffee table.  There's a desk, kind of.  The bathroom is normal sized.  You can see the bed in the second picture.  It's on bricks, with a small foam mattress.  The bed's entered through the little arch in the fireplace wall.  Evidently, this is the traditional way northern Moldovans built their houses.  The idea was warmth! The last picture is of the entrance into the room from the courtyard.  Yes, we had our own little bridge.
