World Cup Nails

My team is now out of the World Cup, but I got my nails painted to support them before their first game.  My Russian manicurist looked at me disbelievingly when I asked her to paint them like the flag of Uruguay.  She did a really good job with the suns, though!

Rapid Progress

Well, this is coming along so quickly now that I am excited to have it done.  The buildings fly when you work on them daily  Just a couple more to go.

Potting Away

I've picked this back up and put it in my rotation.  It's now got one pot done and another one almost filled!

Thank You Jessica!

Jessica came to Chisinau on temporary duty last autumn and we had a great time visiting.  She even learned how to make temari!  She is now on home leave after packing out of her former home of Bishkek, and she sent me this lovely satchel she picked up there!  The colors are very vibrant and it's well put together and sturdy and will last  long time.  I've made it my Russian language satchel for taking to class.  Thank you so much, Jessica, I love it and every time I see it I think of you.  Have fun in your next post in Africa and come visit us any time.

Still On The Second

This is once again going slowly, but I do have progress. I am sooo close to the middle bird.  In fact, I did do some of the branch in green.  It's only that purple wreath to go.

I Love Bluebonnets

No, it's not April, and no, it's not Texas, but I have bluebonnets!  Our seeds sprouted and I have beautiful blue flowers in June.  Seeing them makes me happy.

June Flowers In My Garden

Lots of flowers are blooming in my garden, and they're not only roses.  The bachelor buttons are doing well and the zinnias are just beginning to show color.  The petunias are spreading all over the place.
