There's a fortress in the middle of Skopje. It's been there a long time, but hasn't been preserved or worked on to make it safe since the fall of Yugoslavia. The place is downright dangerous. We explored it a bit and came back with some pretty good views, including of the new stadium.
I have a thing for clocks and we saw this at a small store in the "village" we visited outside the city. It looks very cow furry in the photo, but it's clear. The cow fur is the rug. This will go in our kitchen when I can get Andreas to hang it.
Turns out we visited Skopje on its Independence Day. The only way you could tell was the deserted streets and the closed government buildings. We wandered a bit and got more instagram photos.
About three months ago, zulilly had Dooney and Bourke on sale. I've been impressed by my Texas Rangers pus, so I decided to give another couple a try. They seem to stand up pretty well.
