Sanctuary

A bit of Rievaulx's sanctuary. You can tell it was light filled and pretty in its time.

 

Horse and Temple

They decided to put a modern horse sculpture between the temples for some unknown reason. It kind of fits? This temple is the temple of Juno. Paestun was huge. Only about 20% is uncovered.

 

Frieze

I guess when you have as many bits of archaeology as Greece does, you can afford to have some in your military museum.

 

Making the Grid

Started on the grid here for real. Lots of grid to do.

 

Back to the Skirt

Lots of skirt in this. But it's getting done.

 

Most of a Hand

One corner is fully enclosed and the first hand is outlined. This looks like a pretty big piece this way.

 

Living Quarters

Living quarters for the monks, a refectory, and a well. It's hard to believe these photos were taken in January.
