Bringing Down the Houses

Sometimes it feels odd to be working downward toward the roofs.

TAST Week 5 - Herringbone Stitch

I decided to try a temari design on a flat surface for this stitch.  The stitch used most often in temari is herringbone.  I think it came out all right, but it looks a lot different than it does on a ball.

Christmas Goodness

My brother sent us Texas foods!  Now to finally get some warm weather to use the rub.... the chili powder gets used sooner.  Thanks Kirby!

Crazy Start #30 - Dragonfly Pair

Another bit of needlepoint for the challenge.  This one's not too big, and has dragonflies.  What could be better?

Just Need To...

I am at the point of putting these two pieces together to make a biscornu!  It's all stitched and ready to do.

Beer Tour!

A couple of weeks ago, we took a tour of the local Efes (a Turkish brand of beer) brewery here in Chisinau.  They didn't let us take pictures during the tour, but at least let us take one in the tasting room.  Four bottles of beer (plus two drafts) for two people to share.  These particular beers are solely sold in Moldova.  I preferred the Chisinau Genuine Draft and  the Aur.  They were pretty good.  A lot of the Americans here drink the regular Chisinau exclusively, and love it.

Crazy Start #29 - Cu Multa Dragoste

This is another design from Art Goblen, and is a spray of cherry blossoms.  Of course, I switched out the fabric.  Oh, and I'm sure to get tired of pink floss before I'm done with this one.
