Started another ornament in the 12 Days of Texas series. This one shouldn't take too long.

Starting a Wing
The green lines up top are the beginning of a dragon wing. The rest is coming along, at least. There's so very much to go on this.
Appleton's Wool
I am in the Certificate and Diploma program by the Royal School of Needlework now. The first project is design and stitch your own crewel. We have to pick three color families to work with. Mine are the blue, the yellow next to it, and the green.

Berlin Astronomical Clock
In Berlin, the Cold War was fought architecturally, too. This is one example - a communist astronomical clock. It sits in the main square of the former East Berlin. Kind of a neat design and one I've not seen before.

I saw this at a local cross stitch shop in Poland and bought it online here. Haven't seen it elsewhere.

The Warsaw Mermaid
Warsaw has a mermaid as its patron. This was from a story long ago when mermaids from the river came to save it. This statue is in the Rynek, the Old Town Square. The mermaid's face is based on a woman who died in the Warsaw Uprising. Oh, and yes, it's an ice rink around it. This photo was taken in January.

Yes, Even More Pottery
We were going near Boleslawiec on our long road trip, so Andreas decided we had to stop. At least we had some room in the car...

Typewriter Store
While on our architecture tour of Berlin we passed a typewriter store. The only thing in it was typewriters! This was in the eastern part of Berlin. I guess it's a bit of nostalgia.

25 for 2025 #1: Christmas Ball with Bird by Coricamo
The fabric in the kit was aida, so I tossed it and started on this yellow linen. It will come out as a daily project soonish.

More Pottery
Of course Andreas insisted on stopping in Boleslawiec during our long road trip last autumn. And, of course, we bought lots more pottery.
