I made this egg for an egg temari swap with Talk Temari. It's going out in the mail tomorrow. It was interesting working with a completely new shape. I used anchor #5 perle and there's a plastic egg in the middle to give it its shape. I have a gross of plastic eggs, so I'll be making more soon.

Bees and Ladybugs
Another buggy block from the round robin group. This one's Cathy L's and is on its way to Arlene now. Here is what was done on it when I got the block.
And here it is after my work. I added beady bees and ladybugs and some stitchy seams. I also added some ribbon butterflies. I hope she likes it.

Redder
Yup, it's more red. Shocking. I've not been progressing quickly on anything lately, but will be getting back to this this week. I hope.

More Petals
So I am once again really slow with a stitchalong. The third page comes out next week and I'm still on page one. On the other hand, I -am- actually doing it and I like the way it looks.

Adding Some Fringe
I added some fringe to the bottom of the bell of the third jellyfish. Now I need to do the stitching for the tentacles. I started the first one, but there are four or five of them.

Uruguayan Countryside
A few pictures of the area around where we stayed overnight by the Gaucho Festival. Everything was still green, since it was the end of summer, and the weather was beautiful. Too bad the same couldn't be said for the accommodations. We were at the Pasado del Valle Eden and ended up stuck in the seasonal help's quarters.

More of the Mystery
I worked more on the German Group Mystery this week. I love this color combination. For some reason, it reminds me of antique things. Anyway, I made quite a bit of progress on part five, even though I didn't quite finish it.

Change to Celtic
I am the first to work on Faye's Celtic block. It's a great big block! After seeing it, I decided it looked like the countryside. In Ireland and Scotland especially, crosses dot the area, so I got ambitious. I put a Celtic Cross on it. The lower picture shows the progress as of last Saturday, when I was couching it down.
The Southern Sky
When we went to the Gaucho Festival, we stayed out in the countryside. It was so dark the stars popped in the night sky. Here are some pictures of the stars of the southern hemisphere. To actually see them you'll have to zoom in the pictures though. This one has something streaking across the lower right corner. We also saw either the ISS or shuttle go across the sky, but that was before the pictures were taken.
Just a longer exposure on this one.
And this is a picture of the Milky Way. It's gorgeous.

Saturday Stash
We went to the market last week and I picked up a few things. The gauze, though, is from the drug store. It's still stash! It's to cover plastic eggs to make temari eggs.
On the Way to Tuacarembo
The first weekend of March we went to the Gaucho Festival in Tuacarembo. When we stopped for doggie break at a gas station, this group of motorcyclists stopped too. They're from Brazil but could fit in in their excess at any motorcycle rally in the US...

Another Part Down
The thirteenth part of See the Stars is complete! Another bit down on the stitchalongs. I just hope to catch up closer some day.

Still Green
I am still adding green to my purple pirouette, but I am almost done with the green. Once I am, there's really very little to do.

Dragon More Petals
I am still working on the first page of Naptime Dragon, the stitchalong with Kustom Krafts. Slowly but surely, I'm working to the far edge of the page before working down more. I like the pinks on the light green. It's pretty.

Last Backstage Pictures - 28 February - Part 3 - Carnaval
One last set of backstage photos from last month. The guys were surprised to get their pictures taken because most people want the dressed up (or undressed up) girls.

The Underside
I managed to get the underside of the third jellyfish finished this week. It covers nearly as much area as the top.

Taking the Fifth
I started the fifth part of the German Group Mystery this week and moved it down below the other set of "flowers". I did this because the first part of the chart didn't indicate where it was, so I started in the middle. It was actually the bottom row, so to ensure I have room for the whole design, I'm moving the interstitial motifs to the bottom.

An Exchange Start
The Brooke's Books Interactive group on Yahoo is having a spring exchange, and I am participating. Here's the start of my exchange piece. It's got no cross stitch, but is mainly satin and Algerian eye stitches.
