Group Start

This isn't in my rotation at the moment officially, but it's a project my face to face EGA chapter is doing. There are several kinds of crossed stitches and it's somewhat patriotic. It's also small, so it should be a quick stitch. What I did here was done in two hours during the meeting a couple of weeks ago. I hope to finish off these stripes before the next meeting a week from Monday.

Part Five Well Begun

Part five is mainly these two scrollwork bits. They have some backstitching and a couple of cross stitching inside, so they should go easily and quickly. I hope so!

Not My Best Work

I made two mistakes on the border early on and didn't realize them until I was nearly done, so they stuck. This is my May ornament for my ornament a month - yes, I'm very behind. I'll be keeping it, since it has those flaws. Otherwise, I like it. This also counts as the second finish in my project challenge. I'm adding Poirot, one of Jim Wurth's dodecagon series, into the rotation as this one's gone. It's an ornament too, so it'll be July's. From what I understand, the dodecagon ones work up fairly quickly... we'll see.

Steampunk Block

This needs to be mailed out by tomorrow and I finished it last night. It's the most complicated block I've ever pieced. The theme for the round robin is "my favorite things" so I went for steampunk. It's a bit more organic looking than I'd want, but it does do the whole complicated bit fairly well. Now to see if any of the other people working on the block even know what steampunk is...

Finally!

All the cross stitches on part five are DONE! I started on the special stitches on the outside of one of the corners. Since there are a lot less of them, I should take less than a whole year to get them done... anyway, I'm really happy that I'm done with all that stitching! There's a round of houses outside these corners yet to do.

All but the Border

Pretty much all but the border's done here, and I've finished it all since this picture on Friday. It's my May ornament, so I'm still two behind. On the other hand, it -is- another finish.

Can You See...

the progress? It's all brown, if that helps. I'm almost done with the first fluttery flyaway bit on her torch side. It's going to be hard seeing progress for a while, but it -is- happening, I promise.
