More Pinker

Working on my travel piece this week, I got the ribbon floss laid and the beads in place. She calls for the beads at this point, so I'm putting them in in the fear that I'll have to be careful about working around them.

On the Second Row

I'm on the second row now of the first rectangle, so you can pretty much make out the pattern of it now. This picture doesn't quite capture the color well, though. On the second line, I'm wandering across rather nicely. It's much more complicated than the top line was.

A New Purse

We went to the local market on Saturday despite the threat of rain and there was a stall selling handmade handbags. I bought this one for all of $12.50 US (250 Uruguayan pesos). Not bad. I really like the feel of the leather, and love the color.

Here's a picture of it closed with the nice detail on the flap. At this price, I might be able to indulge in a few more.

Hearts and Tangles

The third part of HRW is done and I have the fcatch up on the other stitchalongs. I still really love the colors I chose on this.ourth part to stitch, but I'm waiting as usual until I am done with another part of the other stitchalongs before getting back to this.

Pink Squares

This is coming along, if a bit slowly. I could not work on it on the plane - a product of the seat change Continental pulled on me when I checked in. I loathe middle seats on planes. Anyway, all you see here was done before I got on the plane anyway. All the pink squares are done and I'm beginning to fill them in.

Ups and Downs

Doing the stitches on the second band is like walking up and down a rolling hill over and over again. That said, I'm making some significant progress on it. The first rectangle is all downs, this top stripe to the left, and then the next to the right. The color I got to use on it this week is a really shocking lime green that didn't photograph well.

A Curve of Acanthus

I worked more on the lower left line again this week and a bit on the inside of the bottom egg with a bunch of dark green. Soon I'll be able to start the fourth line, or rather, finish the upper right one.
