Bead Store

Well, I had half an hour while waiting for the shawarma to be ready last week, and the bead store was only a block away... The leather things are new.  Aren't they cute?

Kathy's English Garden Block

Kathy's set of garden blocks all are silkies surrounded by borders.  I picked this one.  All her blocks remind me of Di van Niekirk designs.











Since I thought that, I went ahead and embellished like it was one.  I'm more of an abstract person and less of a silkie person, but I tried my best.  I hope she likes it.  It's on its way to Australia now.

Deceitful Beads

Don't you just hate it when companies mislead you?  We were misled when we bought these two boxes of beads.  Same manufacturer, just different color combinations.  The one on the left is how we bought them.  The one on the right is after unwrapping.  I'm sure the amount of beads advertised was correct and such, but from the packaging, you expect the little boxes to run to the middle.  Nope, you can see how they went.  So while we'll use the beads, I doubt we'll buy from this company again.

Diane's Blue Block

Straight from light to dark on the beaded blocks.  Diane's block is all blue-y.  There were seams on it done, beautiful ones. too!

I thought it needed a focal point and I had this lovely metallic feather, so I put it smack dab in the middle.  I also added a beaded wheel and some seamwork.  I hope Diane likes it.
