The local mall had an exhibit of costumes from the last twenty years in its atrium last month. A lot of them were really neat and from Spanish language versions of such classics as "The Importance of Being Earnest" and "The Lion in Winter". All of the costumes were used in local productions here in Montevideo. There's some really interesting construction on some of the outfits.

Still Tentacling the Fifth
Still working on the fifth jellyfish, and it's about to be put on hold until after the new year, along with most of my regular stuff. Got too many gifts to make!

Calendar Girl Thanks
This year, I've been participating in Calendar Girls in the Friendly Stitchers Yahoo group. We were randomly assigned months and mailed packages of stash to each other during the year. I'm the last, and this is what I've received so far. Maureen sent me a lovely card and a stash packed from Polstitches full of fabric and floss in my favorite colorway. Thank you Maureen!

So Close
I only have the beads to add and then to make the stitching into ornament. I like the way the green worked up.

Last Sights of Punta
Supposedly everyone takes a photo of this sculpture while in Punta.
You can tell from the color of the water here that it's the ocean side of point. Isn't it pretty? The river side looks much more muddy.
Here's the sign to the big white house on Punta Ballena. Great view, but the house is really just a marketing ploy by the artist. I wasn't impressed.

Bead Store
Well, I had half an hour while waiting for the shawarma to be ready last week, and the bead store was only a block away... The leather things are new. Aren't they cute?
