This mall, by the way, was formerly a prison. In fact, the current president of Uruguay was incarcerated here for fourteen years. But on to the costumes. These ones are from Joan of Arc, I think. There are some lower down that have some neat embellishment!

Creeping Along si
I seem to be done with the skirt itself pretty much - finally. Still getting kind of sick of golden brown, but it does look good.

Joy of Florimell
This week I started the Prairie Moon Joy ornament from the JCS 2010 ornament issue. Of course I changed up the floss and material. Last month I picked up a skein of Gloriana's Florimell and decided to use it for this. The coverage is really good - I've been using only one ply. And I really love the color brilliance. Besides, it feels nice. I know I'll pick up more Florimell in the future, especially if I can find it on sale. $7 a skein is pricy.

Exhibit at the Mall
The local mall had an exhibit of costumes from the last twenty years in its atrium last month. A lot of them were really neat and from Spanish language versions of such classics as "The Importance of Being Earnest" and "The Lion in Winter". All of the costumes were used in local productions here in Montevideo. There's some really interesting construction on some of the outfits.

Calendar Girl Thanks
This year, I've been participating in Calendar Girls in the Friendly Stitchers Yahoo group. We were randomly assigned months and mailed packages of stash to each other during the year. I'm the last, and this is what I've received so far. Maureen sent me a lovely card and a stash packed from Polstitches full of fabric and floss in my favorite colorway. Thank you Maureen!
