Darlene asked for paisleys on her blocks, so I cooperated. I made two giant ones in different bright colorways. I hope she likes them.

A Hope
I started Winter White on the first of this year. My hope is to finish it by the end of the year. I'm getting close, since I'm halfway done with the special stitches, and after that there's only beading. Maybe I can do it in the next few weeks.

Lunch in La Paloma
During our trip to Punta del Este, we looked for whales. Supposedly they were out there, but we never saw any. At least we had a decent lunch in La Paloma, a tiny resort town on the Atlantic coast. Andreas had a burger (above) and I had a chivito (below). Both were, obviously, huge. The fries were decent. too.

Entry's Done
With the completion of the second plant, the entry's done. Yay. Now on to more windows and shutters and windows and shutters...
All Sent Off
Every year, Crazy Quilting International has a cracker exchange. They're supposed to be long cylinders. Needless to say, mine aren't. There's something inside of them that makes it impossible for them to be aught but squares. So... two blocks pieced and one beautiful Christmas topiary panel are all on their way to the States to be opened at Christmas. I hope the recipients like the goodies inside.
