This top picture is how I sent the block out.  I asked for a more Arabian theme instead of the usual oriental.  They did well!  Thank you so much to Peggy, Rita, Candji, and Darlene!  You can see their work below, from a flying carpet to a magic lamp.

Still working on the middle building here, but there's definitely less of it left to do.

I am now off the jellyfish for the moment and working on the background.  It feels good to be doing something new with this!

I am nearly done with this set of squares on the heart.  It looks good in these colors, don't you think?

BeFinched

Last week a finch flew into the house and decided to make itself comfortable in the rafters of the second story.  We managed to get it out of the house after a little bit.  The cats stalking it certainly didn't help.

Last of the Three Kings

This is the last set of Three Kings parade pictures.  I -should- have pictures from Teatro Verano and the inaugural parade soon.  I almost titled this post "dancing in the street" because there's a lot of that.  And at the end, not only the kings handing out alfajores, but a picture of the food vendors - did I mention the lax safety laws here?
