Pictures of the preparations for the Carnaval Inaugural parade on January 24th. We had box seats on Plaza Cagancha, and this first picture shows a view of the monument in the center at twilight. I've got lots more parade pictures to share over the next several days.

Plugging Along
Two and a half of four squares done on this set. It's going, slow, but going. What keeps me stitching is that I think it's gorgeous.

Fourth Part Filled
Working from the middle out, each set gets a little bit bigger. The hardest part of this section was pulling out the canvas threads. Always a scary prospect!

Purse Project
Sometimes you get a lot done in a little bit of time. That's what's happening with this piece. I work on it while waiting for shawarma and waiting for the doctor to see me and so on. It's coming along pretty well.

Still Not There
I've not had as much stitching time as usual this week because it's Carnaval, so there are still a few stitches left on this peacock feather fan. On the other hand, there actually is progress.

More of Parque Salus
Corporate symbol on the wall of the bottling plant. We didn't get to tour it.
A hornero nest.
There were these mounds of aloe vera plants. I found their geometry fascinating.

Sparkly and Arches
I did the green sparkly in the upper left, making it look bright, and also started the left hand acanthus leaf outline. There are now full arches on the houses too.
