Jelly fish on the beach... Punta del Este had a real bad invasion this summer, and for a while you couldn't walk on the beach without seeing one. By the time we got there in March, most were gone.
And here are some people frolicking in the water, even though it's chilly. The air was warm, at least, and it was a beautiful day.

Purple and Pink on White
On this ball, I used Weeks Dye Works pearl cotton for the wraps (purple) and Leah's overdyed pearl cotton for the triangles. I think it came out pretty well.
On to the Beach - Punta del Este
A few things to buy at the beach, then some surfers, and finally some bits of beach. The last bit includes my son Sean. These are still from his visit in March.

One More Stitchalong
Bad me, another start. This is a quick little stitchalong from Sticklounge called Sommerherz. I, of course, switched out all the colors.
Punta del Este in a Day
When Sean was here in March, we took him to Punta del Este, THE beach resort of Uruguay. It was a very nice day...
Anyway, first part of the tour was Punta Ballena, just on the west side of town. Here's the most famous house on it, and the rest of the photos were taken from the point.

Three More Rows
Slowly it goes; I'm three more rows down and officially past the halfway point. Working on the salamander/dragon's tail now.

Yemanja
These were all taken the evening of the Yemanja festival, which is on Groundhog Day. At least it's not about how much longer summer will last. They're honoring a west African goddess who looks like Sophia Loren dressed up as the Madonna. Anyway... enjoy the pictures.
