Roofing It

This week's work was all on the roof and the sky.  I'll be back to the house itself next time.

Food!

When the ladies came over, Adriana brought these beautiful pastries.  We didn't have time to break them out and eat them then, but the bread made wonderful breakfast for a couple of mornings, and  the little dulce de leche cookies are so cute!  Thanks Adriana.

You Can See Buenos Aires From Here

Back in March, we took Sean out to Colonia, too.  Not as many photos because we have a lot of them, but... the day was so clear you could see Buenos Aires across the Rio de la Plata.  There were also some beautiful blossoms and a robin taking a bath.

Thank You Adriana and Sussy

Since I'm leaving soon, Adriana and Sussy made some things as farewell gifts.  Sussy made the lovely guest towel, and Adriana made the beautiful cushion.  I'll treasure them both.  Thank you!

Last of the Day Out - Piriapolis

Here are the last of my pictures of Pirapolis.  Yes, the guy on the bicycle is towing a sound system blaring ads.  If you look at these pictures and those of Punta, you can tell how much more relaxed Piriapolis is.

Second Corner Started

I am down to one more session of Rhodes stitches and have started the second corner of small buildings.  I'll feel much better when I'm done with the Rhodes.

On to Piriapolis

Piriapolis is a much older and established resort town than Punta del Este.  Most of the buildings reflect architecture from the first half of the 20th century, and it's on the river side of Uruguay.  The beaches are beautiful and it has a long boardwalk.  We stopped there on the way back from Punta.  In a lot of ways, I prefer Piriapolis.  It's much more centered and much less glitzy.
