Slanted View

Although this is from last month, it's posted from Moldova. I still don't have a regular internet connection at the house, but managed to do this through the phone connection on my laptop. I did get done with the right hand buildings and have started with the specialty stitching on that and the cross stitching on the bottom.
We are now in Chisinau with some of our stuff and all our pets. We''re beginning to settle down and hope to have everything squared away by the end of October.

Blue and Green Still

Mersburg Castle is coming along a bit. It came along on the trip with me, and so is getting some progress. Maybe I'll get to the actual castle part soon.

More Gold

I -think- the majority of the gold in the background is done.  There are still at least two more sessions' worth of work on it, though.

Bearing Everything at Angelo's

No pictures of the excellent barbecue at Angelo's on White Settlement in Fort Worth, but a  couple of pictures of their cute bear!

Last Finish in the States

Yay, one last finish before I left!  It's The Sweetheart Tree's In the Land of the Free, and it was part of my Crazy January Challenge.  I'm happy with the way this turned out.  It's more sparkly and brighter in person.  It'll be turned into a door knocker, and I've been informed that Freedom Rings will be framed.  I'm just happy I got something else done!

Blackeyed Pea!

This is probably one of my favorite meals ever - chicken fried steak, fried okra, and squash casserole from the Blackeyed Pea.  We had fried pickles (no picture) as an appetizer.  I couldn't finish it, but it sure tasted good!  Andreas had fish and chips.  It was good to be home in Texas.
