Starting to fill in the windows on this column now. Back to blocks of color, too. I'll get to the trees soon.

Year Of The Dragon Block
Last month we started an Asian nights round robin with small blocks. The first one for me to work on was Carol's. Since it's the year of the dragon and I couldn't find anything else I really liked, I embroidered a slithery dragon on the center of her block.

On To The Left
All the middle's motifed, and I'm left to work the somewhat dense one on the left. Then it's outline stitching all around and a finish.

Bag From Betsy
I had forgotten about this piece until Betsy mentioned a couple of weeks ago that she'd finished making it into a bag and shipped it here. When it arrived, I remembered! I'd given this piece to her to make a bag out of back when we were in Texas last summer. She does such wonderful bags! It's just one reason she makes such a great mother in law. I love the way this one looks and have begun using it already. Thank you again!

Fourteen of Twenty-Four
I seem to be getting about a motif a week done on this. The last one was a really easy one - all backstitch and Rhodes stitches and upright crosses. On to the next...
Long Way Home
This round robin ended oh, nine months ago?, but I just now received the blocks back. They took a detour. I think they came out great, don't you? I'm leaning toward completing these as individual ornaments, but haven't quite decided to yet.
