A Bit Of Gift Stash

My mother in law visits stitch shops, and sometimes, I get gifts!  These cute ornaments are what she gave me while on our trip to the States. Even better, I'm doing an ornament challenge next month, so I have a reason to do them soon!

One Rose, Halfway

It doesn't look like much, but at least it's progress.  One of two roses half done on this half of the line, and one and a half to go.

Behind On Food

I've been so remiss about posting food pictures because I had been procrastinating in getting the photos off my phone.  I did that last night, though, so you get more food!  These pictures were taken at Popasul here in Chisinau in March.  They are a traditional restaurant with great food!  The top is fried mushrooms, then placinte, a local filled pastry.  Under that is some dumplings, and some Greek salad and some rabbit that was excellent.  So was the stroganoff.

Who Knew?

Who knew such a small (2x2) design could take me so long to do?  At least I've not abandoned it.

Bee Board

Betsy also made a memo board for me, remembering that I like bees!  It's very cute, and now that it's here, I need to figure out where to put it.  Thanks again, Betsy.

Another Basket By Betsy

This is another cordwrapped basket by Betsy.  Thank you for making it for us.  We're going to use it as a catchall in the entryway instead of the cardboard box that's there now.

Another Asian Block

This is the last of the midnight Asian blocks in the round robin.  Peggy had mentioned a Ming tree in her notes, and no one had made one yet, so I did.  The block is somewhat plain after I did it, but it didn't seem right to embellish it more and detract from the tree.
