So Close

I am so very close to finally finishing off this part of the sampler.  It's huge!  Someone asked me for the colors again.  The green is Olivine and the multi is Tuscany, both in Florimell by Gloriana.  The fabric is 40 count Newcastle linen by Needleworker's Delight in color Golden Honey.  I'll have to look up the exact colors of the purple and the variegated red because I don't have my project bag in front of me at the moment.

Dinner By Fenway

For some unknown reason, there are a few baseball themed sports bars within a couple of blocks of Fenway Park.  We had dinner at one of them on our way to see the Red Sox vs Mariners game on May 14th.  The food was pretty good.  Sean had fish and chips; Andreas had a greek salad and a grilled cheese sandwich, and I had a barbecued chicken sandwich that was waaay too big for me to finish.  For a sports bar, it wasn't bad.  It was expensive, though, as all of Boston is.

Still Small Stuff

Got one color of  the roof of the center building done.  That's about all that's visible, though.

Small Town Connecticut Food

We met friends on our drive back to Massachusetts from New York.  It was lunch time, so that's what we did.  They each had these delicious looking salads, and we had pizza.  I'm sorry I don't remember the name of the place, but it was several miles off the interstate north of Hartford.

Inspired In A Group

This ball is only halfway done; it's the one i'm using to teach my students.  I was inspired to teach this one to them as their third ball to practice wraps and start on spindles.  The original design was posted as a temari by someone on the Talk Temari Yahoo group.  I hope to complete it this week.

Zoo Birds

I'm not a bird fan, but Andreas is, and they photograph well.  Overall, even outside of the terrorizing toddlers, I was disappointed with the Central Park Zoo.  It's definitely not worth the $12 admission, and takes less than half an hour to see all the exhibits.  I remember when it was free.... and had different animals.

More Green, More Peach

Greens and peaches around the lower window.  Some day this will get done.
