My First C 10
I sometimes get afraid to try things that seem too complex for me, but I was given a push week before last and -had- to mark a temari with a C10. I did it! This is the first one I did, in progress. It even looks pretty good, especially for a first attempt. No stopping me now.

Way Up North - Soroca
Soroca is a city at the northern border of Moldova. We went there with Sean to see the only castle in Moldova. It's not much as castles go, but it's pretty neat. The mural in this first picture is on the wall by the river. It commemorates the 20th anniversary of Moldovan independence.
This castle was built by Stephen cel Mare to keep the Turks out. It worked, and was one of the few fortresses never to fall to the Ottoman Empire. It did fall to the Poles a few centuries later. It's a pretty neat place.

Bottomed Out
Yay! I'm finally done with the lower left corner parts five and six! One last corner to do all over, and part six on the top right. Once that's done, I'll be able to start something new on this. I'm so looking forward to that.
To The Bottom
The bottom section is coming along well. I've got the bones of it all done. Now's the time to fill it all in.
Lavender Fields
These first two pictures are of some beautiful wildflowers by the side of the road. The rest are of a lavender field we stopped to take pictures of. A lot of the countryside is lavender, alternating with corn and sunflowers.
