One place we at with Sean at was Mykonos. Since it seems to be a tradition when he visits us, he had octopus. It wasn't as spicy as they prepared it at Hemmingway's in Montevideo, but it was very good. I had the mici, sausages formed from ground beef and pork. Truthfully, I won't be ordering them again. Andres had the gyro platter, and we all demolished tzatziki and pitas. Overall, a very good meal.

Back To Chateau Vartely
We hadn't visited Chateau Vartely since a couple of weeks after we came to Moldova. The place is just as beautiful as ever. We didn't have a meal afterwards, but did get a full wine tasting.

Still Art Nouveau
Still working on the last flower in the classic art nouveau idiom. I'll be so happy when I'm done with it!

In The Market
Found these in the art market the other day. The day was hot, ergo the fan. I think it's pretty, too. I'm also always on the lookout for pretty barrettes!

Squishing Together
I'm beginning to run out of this color of thread and will have to order more. In the meantime, I've definitely started to bring the sides in. It means I'm nearing the end, right?

Dinner In The Village
Erin and her Peace Corps mom Liuba hosted a dinner for us in July at her village. This first photo is of the well in the front yard. Liuba cooked a wondrous meal for us. It was sooooo good! We had chicken and eggplant and zucchini and chicken soup and bread and fresh veggies and this wonderful sauce made of onions and tomatoes and a veggie salad of peas, peppers, and mushrooms. We were stuffed! Not only that, we had vanilla ice cream with homemade raspberry syrup on top. So very much thanks to Erin and Liuba. We enjoyed it thoroughly and learned a lot about village life.
