October Mystery Finish

Add caption
I finally finished Laura Perin's October Mini Mystery.  The colors are -so- out of my comfort range, but I think it came out well.  Andreas wants to keep it, and it doesn't even have a smidge of green, so that's success too.

Gift From Erin

Thank you, Erin!  Erin and Theresa are Peace Corps volunteers here in Moldova, and we've been friends for a while.  Erin gave me this cute hanging tea light holder for Christmas.  Isn't it adorable?

Looking Less Bare

To me, the bottom of the square has been looking a bit sparse.  This time, I did some filling in, and it looks more like a city.

Last Start Of 2012

I had a spot left in my Christmas rotation, so I added this piece.  It's Marsh Meadow from Keslyn's Creations.  Center's done!

Last Finish Of 2012

Yay, I finally finished my second Lttle Gem from Stitch! Magazine.  As you can see, I switched up the colors on the second one.  The second is on the left; the first I did is on the right.  Neat little project.

Chapter Project

I kind of do a service for my EGA chapter where I find small free designs and interpret them, with photos, step by step.  The January meeting project is Geometric II by Northern Pine designs.  It's a fairly simple canvaswork project.  Of course, I changed the colors.  Here's part of it done.

Buffalo And Friends

Buffalo Steakhouse's mojito is almost as good as El Greco's, but it's smaller and the same price.  Anyway, I tried one when we went to dinner with friends a couple of weeks ago.  Andreas had tea in their beautiful presentation, along with the Greek salad and a hamburger.  I had a very good steak and some zeama.  The dessert is Heather's chocolate volcano.  It was good!  Actually, it was all good, and Buffalo's meat cooking skills are improving.  The steaks were more tender and flavorful than in the past.
