Mae Into An Ornament

My two little gem pieces from last year are now combined into one ornament.  Yay for finishing things off!

Bits Of Hair

I have decided to stitch the remainder of this from top to bottom, so I'm currently working on hair.  Lots of hair to do.

In Getting Done Mode

I have decided that all new projects for a while will be "old" ones - the January challenges from 2011.  The first one up is Heartsease Pansy, and it should be a fairly quick stitch.  It's also crewel, which I haven't been doing much of lately.

Working In The Middle

I'm getting one of the four lamp posts done to use as a way of starting the other side.  I feel like I'm making more progress, for some reason.

Close To The Bottom

I am very, very close to finishing off the first step of this filling pattern.

Fallen Leaves Pilot

I stitched this while I was still living in Montevideo!  Nearly two years later, I can show it to you - it's finally been released by EGA.  This is a crewel sampler called Fallen Leaves, and is one of the new group correspondence courses.  I, naturally, changed up the colors and used Gumnuts wools instead of the recommended Appleton.  I also used some Weeks Dye Works fabric instead of  the recommended.  I think it turned out pretty well.

Seasonal Dining

It's a nice, big, delicious mojito!  We went to Seasons with a bunch of embassy people for dinner a couple of weeks ago.  Andreas had a greek salad and a club sandwich.  He said they both were good; the sandwich was nice and full of fillings.  I had a (very large) chicken schnitzel and zeama.  The zeama was great.  The schnitzel really needed some sauce, even though I know it's not normally served with any.  I'm just too American in my taste, I guess.
