Wine Fountains

At Milestii Mici, they've decked out their two fountains to look like red and white wine being poured into glasses.  Too bad it was such a nice day, as we ended up going into a cave.

Pretty Presentation

Several of us went to Roata Vremii on a Thursday night in May.  We had a beautiful selection of Moldovan foods - fresh and pickled vegetables, cheese, smoked meats, placinte .... and for the main course, a bunch of grilled meat.  It was a wonderful evening.

Back To Dreaming

Still crawling up the side, but small progress is better than none.

Stray Puppy

A stray dog has been somewhat adopted by the embassy community for the past year.  We call her Scruffy.  She's the dog in the bottom picture.  In April, she had a puppy.  That's who's in the top two pictures.  The puppy is only two months old and already half the size of momma.  There's a street dog problem here, and a lot of owned dogs are treated even worse, but we 're all hoping Scruffy and Socks live long and happy lives.

Beginning A Bouquet

I've started working on the July Little Extra for the CyberStitchers meeting.  It's a silk ribbon embroidery project that is a bit freeform.

Hospice Angelus Ball Food

A few weeks ago, we went to the Hospice Angelus charity ball.  You saw the painting we won at the silent auction; here's now the food.  The theme was around the world in one night.  First was Italy, with lasagne.  The cookies below were made by a friend, Stephanie.  She made individual cookies for everyone.  We also had "Argentine" beef.  It had sauce and was not underdone.  It was -not- Argentine, but still tasted good.  There was a cake, too.  The ball was a fun night, and we will probably do it again next year.  There are photos of us on the Hospice Angelus facebook page, if you're truly interested.

Squares Around Temari

For some reason, I've become somewhat enamored of wrapped band temari lately.  This one was fairly quick to do, and I used Garibaldi threads.  I think it came out pretty neat.
