Pretty Pastries

I admit it; I'm a sucker for French bakeries.  I just love the way everything looks, and the tastes are usually amazing.  Here in Moldova, the baked goods tend to look good, but the taste is pretty bland.  I bought these and ate about half of each on different days.  Both tasted as lovely as they look, but I just can't eat that much sweet anymore!

Small Start

What's a vacation if you can't start something absolutely new?  This is Twined Heart from The Sweetheart Tree, and I started it while in France.  It'll get into the rotation soonish, I hope!

On Its Side

 Blogger is being weird and uploading some photos sideways.  This is one of them.  The long line is the top.  I started it as part of Crazy January and took it with me to France.  Got a little bit more done....

Spot The Basset

 There's a dog under there, promise.  He was also a very good puppy, even if emaciated for a basset hound.

Tour De La Pis

There's a great pizza place in Pont Audemer.  It's Tour de la Pis, and it's right off the church square.  We ate there twice during the trip.  These are photos of our pizzas from the first time.  Andreas had ham, pineapple and olive pizza, and I had pizza paysanne.  Not even Andreas could finish his.  They're loaded with cheese and the  crusts are chewy and firm and crispy and delicious!

Just Filling In

Well, it doesn't look like I did much, but I filled in bits and pieces around the shoulder and then up and down from there.  Lots of places where only one or two stitches of a color made the area complete were done.
