Thank You Greta

I received a package upon my return from France.  It was from Greta and in exchange for the firecracker Independence Day ornament I sent her.  The ornament is about an inch across.  The threads are beautiful.  Thank you kindly, Greta.

Pretty Jewelry!

On the day we went to the miniature railroad museum, we wandered through the village too.  There wasn't much outside of a river resort and a handmade jewelry shop.  The owner/maker sold us these pieces that we picked out.  They're all silver, and the beads are amber.  I truly like it!  It's become some of my favorite jewelry, and I wear it often.

Irised

It's done!  I've finished the Fleur-de-Lis from Laura Perin.  Yes, the class was supposedly last summer, but I didn't even start until the class was over.  I'm pleased with how it turned out and Andreas says this is a piece we're definitely keeping.

Side Done

I finally finished the side!  The dimensions are now locked in.  I am so behind, though, that I will have to rebuy the pattern as a whole  to finish it.

Bayeux Souvenirs

We went to the Bayeux tapestry and came back with raincoats!  Okay, they're ponchos, but it was the first sunny day after two weeks of rain.  We were trying to be prepared.  They were inexpensive and will get used.  I also got some napkins for decoupage and tea and hand towels.  Now, if only I had time to play with any of it...

I See Lobes

I see the lobes of a heart, although I think it's not supposed to look like one.

Time For The Background

Almost all of the design is stitched!  I only have beads and background to go.
