My Favorite Ribbon Shop

Every time I go to France, I try to get to the Rue de Gros Horologe in Rouen.  Yes, there's a big clock there and it's a beautiful clock, but .... in the shadow of the clock is a ribbon and button store.  The store is Homo Rousell, and it's run by a 90 year old lady and her staff of six or seven clerks.  They're wonderful, and the selection is amazing!  I bought all these ribbons there.  They're much more gorgeous in person.  I'll be back.  It may be a few years, but I'll be back.

Curving Back In

Definitely more than halfway and curving the sides back in.

Part Five Finished

Yay!  I got through a major milestone!  Part five's cross stitching is finished!  It's only been over a year.....  Now to finish up part six and get some backstitching done....

Awesomesauce

This is yet another medieval festival find.  Isn't the dragonfly beautiful?  Now I have to figure out a reason to get to wear this to work soon.  Hmmm....

Breaking Past

I am finally breaking past the bottom of the top page into the one next down.  That's got to be progress!  I do think the peacock's looking pretty good with the addition of a bit of blue.

Working On The Stable

The supports for the stable are about done on the left side now, and I got more done on the second building, too.  In other news, the roof of the bottom left stable is getting backstitched.

Tiny Shop In Rouen

I found these at a tiny shop in Rouen close to the cathedral.  It was so crowded with stuff it was hard to look!
