We also took Andreas' parents to Popasul Dacilor, another traditional Moldovan restaurant. Lots of the same kinds of food, but presented a bit differently. Again, we ate a lot, from the free little cheese puffs through the veggie appetizer plates and on to the mamaligia and main courses. The whole time, we were serenaded by songbirds in cages around the terrace. Both Popasul and Roata Vremi have excellent service and excellent food. Roata Vremi has lower prices and a museum. Popasul Dacilor has a beautiful riverside view and songbirds.

Huge Dinner At Roata Vremi
I have been trying to catch up so much with the air show that I've neglected posting other things besides stitching. These photos are of a meal we ate with my in laws at Roata Vremi while they were visiting in July. It was all excellent, from the house aligote wine to the fresh veggies to the meats and placinte. I love this place.

Boeing 787 And Corporate Jet
Air shows are now about the only place you can go just to watch planes take off and land. I remember as a little kid going to the local little airport and watching them with fascination. Now, only air shows offer that experience.
Boeing showed off one of its new 787's, and they were rolling it out while one of the corporate jets was taking off and doing its routing. Made a lot of good photo ops!
