Dinner (With Friends) At Steakhouse Odessa

We had dinner after we got in to Odessa at Steakhouse.  It was pretty good, and we had beggars.  Two dogs really wanted bits of our steaks. They were very polite and stuck around for about half the meal.

The red drink is iced tea.  In the pitcher is lemonade.  Two salads and a soup for four people, and various kinds of bread.  To tell the doneness of the steaks, the cooks brand pieces of zucchini with the type.  Kind of cute.

Pretty Pottery

A little while back a potter came to sell her wares at the embassy.  These pieces are what I bought.  They look more beautiful in person!

One Garden Started

While in Frankfurt two weeks ago, I finished Chris F's Country Garden block.  It's on its way to the next person.

Partial Lunch At Purcari

For the last weekend of July, we drove with Andreas' parents down to Odessa.  On the way, we had a wine tasting and lunch at Purcari.  This is part of what we ate.  The food at Purcari is definitely top notch and well done.  It's worth the hour and a half drive out of town to have it, even without the wine tasting.  There are more food pictures, but they're not processed yet.

So Very Orange

I have all the stitching done for the Tangerine Sorbet ornament.  It's very, very orange and beady.  Time to make it into an ornament, when I can find the time.

Craftistas August Kit

Being a crafting nerd, I finally signed up for Craftistas.  Here's the first kit I got.  It's all about fimo and pattern and making a bowl.  I had hoped to get it done within a couple of weeks of getting it, but life - in the form of work - interfered.  Instead of my usual part time, I've been working full time for the month of September.  No crafties for me!  I'm supposed to return to part time when I get home from Krakow, so hopefully I can do it very soon.

Chateau Vartely By Phone Photo

As Andreas wasn't present, I took these photos with the phone.  I apologize for the quality.  Looking at the place, it's sometimes hard to believe the whole complex is less than five years old.  The site used to be a limestone quarry.  It's beautiful on the side of the hill overlooking Orhei.
