My favorite tatter came by the embassy last month, and I bought jewelry. I also have a necklace coming from her to wear with my Marine Ball dress. The jewelry is more expensive than most crafted jewelry here, but that is because it takes so much longer than the others. I think it's a beautiful example of the craft.

Cafeteria Food
On the top floor of the mall on Deribiskaya Ulitza is a cafeteria. The food is very good, cheap, and you get to interact with babushkas with hair nets. We had cabbage rolls, cherry pierogi, buckwheat, chicken kiev, and a bunch of other stuff. Besides the good food, you get an excellent view of downtown Odessa!

While Waiting In A Gazebo....
How better to wait for someone than to enjoy a cappucino in a gauzy gazebo in the park? That's exactly what Andreas and I did while we waited for his parents to finish a walking tour. I had a cappucino; Andreas had a milk shake. We also shared a bruschetta because the wait people were a bit put out by our very small order in a prime place. Some of the bruschetta (the tomato and the parma ham ones) were very good. The rest ... not to our taste.
