Checking Out A Reputation
My mother had heard a lot about Navajo Grill in Fredericksburg and wanted to check it out. We went, therefore, getting reservations. The food was pretentious but the service wasn't. The service was still excellent. Andreas had an appetizer that involved olives and pita. I had a hard time finding more than one or two items on the menu that I would actually eat. I know I'm a picky eater, but it's only at food-pretentious restaurants that I have this problem.
Andreas had these rolled up things. I'm not sure what they were, but he liked them. We had toasted bread.
Mom had scallops. She loved them, which made it worth going. I had steak in a balsamic reduction, which was good but not totally excellent.
In summary, the service was good, the food was a bit overpriced and froufrou, and the menu selection was limited.
