Castle On A Hill

Just outside of Brasov is a castle overlooking the Brasov basin.  It was built in the early middle ages and time has not treated it well.  The name is Rasov, and it's a beautiful place spoiled by quite a bit of commercial kitsch.  None of the commercial money has gone into preservation or renovation, either, which makes it doubly sad.  The view of  the valley and the Carpathians is breathtaking, though.  These photos are of the approach.

Pilot In Flight

Andreas picked out all the framing for this, since it's his.  I think he's going to eventually hang it in his office.  The office, however, is currently undergoing renovation.

All Across

I made it all the way across the top.  Time to work down!

Central Plaza Minus Party

It looks a bit different when not covered with people.  The plaza did have a small market set up, though.

Globed

I found this at an embassy Artisan Spotlight and thought it was cute, so it's mine now.

Ft. Wo

I am definitely going to need more red Neon Rays.  I've ordered it but it hasn't shipped yet.  This is one of a couple of things I dislike about the French Knot kits from Denise DeRusha - the directions are perfunctory and there's always one thread you run out of.  My husband claims I'm parsimonious with thread, so I don't think it's my fault.

The Black Church

Evidently it's frowned upon to take photos in the Black Church, so we can only show what we took on the outside.
