One Egg Done

For an egg, this design came out very diamond-like.  I think I prefer it diamond-like and flat to being twisted around an egg, so I will make it into a diamond shaped ornament.  Starting the second one of seven now.

One Tower Done

I am about halfway done with this part of the mandala.  The first tower is complete and the second one is started.

Chthulu At Night

Brasov's crest symbol is all over town.  I say it looks like Chthulu. It's supposed  to be the roots of an oak tree crowned with a crown.  I don't know why it was chosen, but it still looks like Chthulu on the side of this trash bin.

Weapons As Art

The armory is full of arms!  The arms, though, are arranged as art.  They're not just in rows or all piled up.  They've been made into sculpture.

On The Obverse...

Unlike with Medieval Town Mandala, I feel like I'm making almost no progress on this.  I know stitches are being put into fabric and not being ripped out.  I just don't see them adding up to much at the moment.

Catty Corner

Evidently Andreas had a hard time fitting both areas I was working on this week into the photo.  This was his solution.  I have one corner complete and another well on its way.  I feel so good about making progress on this!

Sultan Mehmet In Brasov

We found a Turkish restaurant in Brasov.  It was far from the tourist areas and on a residential street.  We thought we were lost.  It was there, though, and we went inside.  Sultan Mehmet isn't a large restaurant, and the locals who go there are of Turkish origin.  I don't know much about Turkish food, but it sure was good - well, except the lemonade.  They don't believe in sweetening it.  Anyway, we walked away stuffed and with a very positive experience.  It was worth going out of the way to find it.
