Andreas' parents gave us these bowl buddies that his mother made. When we got them, we had no idea what they were. They're made with Texas themed fabric and you place a hot bowl in one so you don't burn your hand.
This is the church where Pope John Paul II was parish priest. It's very ornate and beautiful. The ceilings vault to the sky. Instead of bells, there is a trumpeter who goes up to the tower and plays during the day.
The photos in this set are from the lecture hall - a very uncomfortable place with very high backed seats and defined spaces. It has a lot of beautiful art in it, but does not have a chalkboard! Lecturers read from the front while students listened and scribbled notes.
I finished this into a door hanger as a wedding shower gift for a USAID friend who's now married. She loved the saying and the whole thing. I think it came out pretty nice.
