Dinner At C House

The Friday before we left for Krakow we went to C House with Dawn.  C House is an Italian chain that opened its first location in Chisinau earlier this year.  It's definitely worth a visit!  We had wonderful drinks, little extras like champagne and appetizers free from the place, excellent service, and wonderful, huge food.  Andreas had a raspberry lemonade to drink first.  I had a mojito and Dawn had a strawberry margarita.  Drink sizes, as you see, were generous.  We had bruschetta for starters, as Dawn had had it previously.  Nice start - fresh tomatoes on crisp toast.  The chips and mayo as a plate dressing were a bit odd.  Our salads and main courses were huge.  My sandwich was so large and open faced it looked like a salad.  The tuna bruschetta free appetizer was odd, but it was probably because I don't like fish.  We even had dessert because they looked so good.  I had a coffee with liquor in it served in a brandy snifter.  Dawn had a huge amount of ice cream and Andreas had a milkshake.  We are definitely going to go back!

Convoy

The Normandy Tank Museum is rather new, having opened last year, and is on the main highway through Bayeux to Cherbourg.  They have most of their display set up as a long pair of convoys - one Allied, one German.  They also have tank rides.  It's an interesting place.

Give Yourself Advent

I ordered my advent calendar yesterday!  It's from Atelier 196 and has a gift for each day of December up to Christmas.  I did this last year and it was so much fun opening something different and useful each day.  She ships worldwide, and the shipping's reasonable!  If you'd like to treat yourself in the lead up to Christmas, here's the link!

Banded

During the second week of Krakow and the flight back I managed to get quite a bit of stitching done on this.  Four bands down and now time to do another cross stitch band.  It's much smaller and I am now more than half way done.

Chickens In The Road

This is the road we live on, on our block.  These are some of the chickens that live on our block.  They escaped one morning and we took pictures on our way to work.

Out And Back To The Church

Out from the second building of the airborne museum and back to the church.  We wandered around the town a bit, found an army navy store, and browsed.

Making Some Lines

Still without the Neon Rays Plus to do the lettering.  I did get some work done on the rider and the border.
