New Daily

This has now become my daily project, since I've finished the Medieval Town Mandala.  I'm working on it steadily and hope to have it done by the end of the month so I can get it framed as a Christmas present.

Krakow Barrette

There was a little central European celebration at the square behind St. Mary's in downtown Krakow one weekend while we were there.  I bought this barrette there.  I like all the wavy swirls.

Pont Du Hoc

Pont du Hoc was the hardest place to take during D Day.  It also overlooked two beaches, so was necessary to take to succeed.  Needless to say, the Allies bombed it severely, but some bunkers were left.  A battalion of Army Rangers scaled the cliff below it to take it on that day.  There were very few left.  You can still see the bunkers and the scars there.  We went to Pont du Hoc on a chilly summer day last year.

Still On The Edges

I almost have the top border piece done.  It's a slow slog, but it's looking nice.

Risk Legacy Changes

We have more stuff on our Risk Legacy board.  It's been fun playing so far, discovering new bits and pieces.

On The Outside

Here are some photos of the outside of  the Normandy Tank Museum.  The photos show how new it was at the time we went there - summer 2013.  You can also see some of the tanks they have kitted up for rides.

Lots Of Velvet

The thread of the day was Petite Very Velvet when I worked on this this week.  It went onto the saddle, the bridle, and the border.  I've had problems getting in my thread for the rest of the Fort Worth.  It supposedly shipped on Thursday.
