Business Lunch At Nobil
The Nobil is one of the most expensive and luxurious hotels in Moldova. It also has a top floor restaurant with a magnificent view of the city - and a 150 lei (less than $10) business lunch. Our consular section went there for such a lunch as a Christmas treat. We had a wonderful time. We also got three courses plus a drink for that 150 lei. My lunch consisted of beef carpaccio, ravioli, and creme brulee with a glass of white wine. All the food was very tasty, especially the three flavors of creme brulee, and, as you can see, well presented.

Sighisoara Streets
We finally made it to Sighisoara last month, and it might have been the cold weather or just the size, but we didn't find much to do. The place was pretty dead too, with most things closed up. If we spend time in Brasov in the summer, maybe we'll go up and see what it's like then. On the other hand, we absolutely loved our apartment there.
